Woman Stabbed With Unknown Weapon on Pala Reservation

DEC. 4, PALA – San Diego County Sheriff’s Department report that a 47-year-old Pala woman was stabbed with an unknown object at a store on the Pala Reservation, but did not receive life-threatening injuries.

Karen Castillo was stabbed and sliced multiple times by an unknown weapon while at the Pala Store on 11800 Pala Mission Road between the times 5 and 6 a.m. Saturday. Police suspect Valentina Garcia, a 23-25 year-old female, who fled the scene after the incident. Garcia is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. It is believed that Garcia lives in the Valley Center region.

Investigators want Garcia for questioning and ask that anyone with information about the case or whereabouts of the suspect to contact the Valley Center sheriff's detectives at 760-751-4400.
